Zywave Aberrometer
ZywaveTM Aberrometer (Zyoptix
100- Bausch & Lomb)
Zyoptix software combines data from two different types of diagnostic equipment, the data is then program the laser with for a unique treatment. The data is collected to assess the structure of the cornea (called topography) and another measurement of individual optical system is taken using the advanced wavefront technology - these measurements not normally taken into consideration with standard LASIK treatments.
In this system, the wavefront is measured
by the market-leading aberrometer, the ZywaveTM
Aberrometer from Bausch & Lomb. The ZywaveTM
aberrometer measures the eye from the centre to the outer edges
(the periphery) of the pupil. This is especially important,
because at night your pupils open up and more light is scattered
in the periphery of the pupils. The Zyoptix system collects this
information from over 9,000 points across the cornea thus
providing the surgeon greater understanding of the individual
eyes.
